Dr Michael Bloom – Chiropractor

I first became interested in becoming a chiropractor while I was in high school. After my neighbour, who was studying chiropractic, adjusted my mother and explained the simple self-healing premise of chiropractic care, I was determined to become a part of the profession. I was thrilled to win a place to study chiropractic at RMIT and I graduated with an award for excellence in Chiropractic Science in 1994.

Since then, I have practiced in Australia, New Zealand and the U.K. I spent six years in the UK, gaining experience at over 20 different centres.

In 2003, I returned to Melbourne in order to establish Vida Chiropractic here in Sandringham, where it is my aim to share my passion for healing and help people of all ages reach their full potential for health and vitality. I look forward to providing outstanding service for many years to come.

Dr Michelle Ronan – Chiropractor

I first saw a chiropractor as a young child in my hometown of Ballarat and was fortunate enough to grow up with regular chiropractic wellness care. I decided at a young age that I wanted to become a chiropractor after seeing the impact it had on my younger brother who suffered from debilitating childhood migraines.

After completing my degree and graduating from RMIT, I have spent my time in practice throughout Melbourne and country Victoria and I have also worked as a locum. I have also combined my passion for chiropractic with my love of animals by undertaking a graduate diploma in Animal Chiropractic through RMIT.

I am so thrilled to be joining the team at Vida Chiropractic and I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your health goals.

Fil – Office Manager

In my 'younger' days, I wanted to be a personal trainer and aerobics instructor (yes, they were called aerobics instructors back in the early '90s!), but for various reasons, my career took me in different directions, namely in the areas of education, publishing and career management. I have always had a keen interest in fitness and so, when Michael asked me to become a part of the team at Vida, you can imagine how thrilled I was – finally, an opportunity had presented itself where I could truly help make a difference in peoples' health and well-being.

I have learnt much about chiropractic since I first came to see Michael in 2006. There is still a great deal I can learn, but what I do know for sure is that it has made a real difference to me both physically and mentally. I am more aware of my total body, I am rarely ill, I move better and, most importantly for me, I have more energy to chase (and sometimes catch!) my two active toddlers, both of whom have been receiving regular chiropractic care since birth.

I am very excited about the opportunity to work at Vida and I look forward very much to meeting you all in person.

Kylie – Chiropractic Assistant

I have only recently started work at Vida as a chiropractic assistant, but have been receiving chiropractic care for over a year. After learning about chiropractic care and being adjusted myself I have experienced its benefits first hand and am delighted to be part of the practice. I enjoy getting to know all the new faces and forming relationships with everyone I meet.

It is amazing that I learn something new about health and life each day. I understand the importance of healthy living and the need to feel your best each day. Through chiropractic care I believe this is possible. On a personal note, I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Arts at The Australian Catholic University and will hopefully be completing my degree at the end of 2009. I enjoy martial arts and am a Black Belt in Karate.

Sarah - Chiropractic Assistant

My introduction to Chiropractic came very unexpectedly. I was working at a restaurant when one day I asked a regular customer what his occupation was. He told me he was a chiropractor and explained the chiropractic philosophy to me. I was intrigued - a health system that focuses on the body being able to heal itself with no chemical interference? As I said, intrigue!

It so happened that this chiropractor was looking for a Chiropractic Assistant and, "YAY!", I got the job. From then on my family and I were regularly adjusted and amazing changes began to occur: my energy levels started to rise; I was sleeping through the night and; the way I experienced stress changed.

I have worked with Dr Michael on and off for the past 3 years and am lucky enough to again be working at Vida and have the opportunity to meet such a diverse range of people.
